Indications
Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases, if it is known or suspected that they are caused by aerobic and anaerobic
gram-positive microorganisms sensitive to linezolid (including infections accompanied by bacteremia):
- community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (including polyresistant strains), including cases accompanied by bacteremia, or Staphylococcus
aureus (methicillin-sensitive strains only);
- hospital-acquired pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant strains) or Streptococcus pneumoniae (including
polyresistant strains);
- complicated skin and soft tissue infections, including infections in diabetic foot syndrome, not accompanied by osteomyelitis, caused by Staphylococcus
aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus pyogenes or Streptococcus agalactiae;
- uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-sensitive strains only) or Streptococcus pyogenes;
- infections caused by Enterococcus faecium resistant to vancomycin, including those accompanied by bacteremia.
As part of the combination therapy of pulmonary tuberculosis caused by strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with multidrug resistance.
_____
Method of administration and dosage
The drug can be taken both during meals and between meals. Patients who were prescribed linezolid intravenously at the beginning of therapy can later be
transferred to any dosage form of linezolid for oral administration, while dose selection is not required, since the bioavailability of linezolid when ingested is
almost 100%. The duration of treatment depends on the pathogen, the location and severity of the infection, as well as on the clinical effect.
Recommended duration:
Adults and children (12 years and older)
Indications (including infections accompanied by bacteria) A single dose is the recommended duration
of treatment
- community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (including polyresistant strains), including
cases accompanied by bacteremia, or Staphylococcus aureus (
methicillin-sensitive strains only);
- hospital-acquired pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and
methicillin-resistant strains) or Streptococcus pneumoniae (including polyresistant strains);
- complicated skin and soft tissue infections, including infections in diabetic foot syndrome, not
accompanied by osteomyelitis, caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and
methicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus pyogenes or Streptococcus agalactiae;
- uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (
methicillin-sensitive strains only) or Streptococcus pyogenes;
600 mg orally every 12 hours for 10-14 days
- infections caused by Enterococcus faecium resistant to vancomycin, including,
accompanied by bacteremia. 600 mg orally every 12 hours for 14-28 days
Adults: for pulmonary tuberculosis caused by multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains - 600 mg 1 time per day with a duration
of therapy in the intensive phase of 24 weeks.
Children from 3 to 11 years old
Indications (including infections accompanied by bacteria) A single dose is the recommended duration
of treatment
- community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (including polyresistant strains), including
cases accompanied by bacteremia, or Staphylococcus aureus (
methicillin-sensitive strains only);
- hospital-acquired pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and
methicillin-resistant strains) or Streptococcus pneumoniae (including polyresistant strains);

accompanied by osteomyelitis, caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-sensitive and
methicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus pyogenes or Streptococcus agalactiae;
10 mg /kg orally every 8 hours for 10-14 days
- uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (
methicillin-sensitive strains only) or Streptococcus pyogenes;
Children (from 3 to <5 years old): 10 mg / kg
orally
every 8 hours.
Children (5-11 years old) 10 mg/kg orally
every 12 hours
10-14 days
- infections caused by Enterococcus faecium resistant to vancomycin, including those
accompanied by bacteremia. 10 mg/kg orally every 8 hours for 14-28 days
Elderly patients: no dose adjustment is required.
Patients with impaired liver function: dose adjustment is not required.
Patients with impaired renal function: dose adjustment is not required. Due to the fact that 30% of linezolid is removed during hemodialysis within 3 hours, linezolid should
be taken after dialysis to patients who need it.
No questions.
